Haha. Singlish.
Had an interview with our local homegrown singer Huang Yida last Saturday, and he left me, Dion and XingYing with a very deep impression.
We were quite amazed at how friendly he is to his fans, and the fact that he could recognise and remember their faces and names. In spite of him suffering from depression some time back, he seems to be on the brighter side now. In him, I saw something that my music teacher had said once before:
艺人不是那么容易当的。艺人 = “艺”于常人的人,十八般武艺样样都要通

XingYing and I had concluded that, if you have a problem with expressing yourself, then you SHOULD go to Taiwan and stay there for a long time. By the time you come back to Singapore, you’ll be so fluent in Mandarin that you’ll forget about Singlish/English, just like YiDa. HAH.
Will post photo of me and YiDa once I reached office on Monday morning.. Heh.
